Roof Trusses pretty much done in one day

The truss issue must have been resolved as we had the trusses delivered via crane apparently.  (This was reported by our lovely neighbours who find it quite exciting!)

Apparently the road was pretty much blocked whilst they were organising the delivery with a crane on the street that brought the trusses up the driveway (with someone leading the trusses as they are pretty big and need to be oriented a certain way to come up) and were there from around 6.30am.  It needs to be early to keep from being in the way.

A smaller crane (which is a bit tank like) then is on the site to help the guys get the trusses up to roof height so they can be propped up and secured.  It's pretty amazing to see.

The carpenters live out Penrith way (and St Marys) so they do have a fair distance to build our place  (Considering the brickies are based out of Wollongong they are from all over the place!)  We appreciate it and the great work :)

So you want photos?  I do too!

The guy is walking on the top of the wall bits which is only 90mm!  He's very surefooted!

The photos above were taken just before midday.

I came back through around 5pm and the guys had finished up and the roof is pretty much completed!  Amazing!!
