Optus Bundle - unlimited

Relatively off topic but still to do with the house.

I was told about Optus unlimited and thought it was a silly concept for us as we'd have to pay $15 more to get unlimited than what we pay now and we don't even use what we have now (120Gb per month).

But for our house we don't get a TV antenna.  And it looks like we'll need a super tall mast.  But maybe we can get our TV through cable!  And since we already paid extra to get our cable (for optus) run underground in our driveway we may as well optimise it.  And for $15 extra per month we'd get some extra movies to watch... or so we thought.

There is a better deal at the moment.

The deal offers unlimited broadband, fetch tv (includes up to 30 movies or something like that per month), 30 channels - a few of which we'll watch, unlimited calls to most of the places we'd call. All for $90 per month. It's almost why wouldn't we do this!

I'm going to try and lock it in for early April for our place as that's when the deal ends.  We may have a chance to move in by then yes? I had moved our service to my MIL's place so if I have to adopt it a bit earlier then so be it and they do moves for free.

We already pay $75 per month for our 120GB - an extra $15 for the extra services should be OK, right?

It's unfortunate that we'll have another phone number though. But maybe we'll be there for years to come and can just keep it? I'll have to ask if we can do local number portability although our 'exchange' for our VoIP number is far away to where we live so it confuses some people.
